Santa Catarina tem uma longa tradição com a cerveja, que remonta à época de colonização alemã e se fortaleceu com o avançar dos anos. Não é à toa que a segunda maior Oktoberfest do planeta é realizada no estado, em Blumenau. A cidade de Blumenau, aliás, desenvolveu uma sólida cultura cervejeira e despontou no movimento artesanal, com fábricas pioneiras, pesquisa em insumos, educação cervejeira e, claro, os mais importantes e longevos eventos do país voltados às micros: Festival Brasileiro da Cerveja e Concurso Brasileiro de Cervejas, aos quais se seguiu a recente e já consolidada Feira Brasileira da Cerveja. A 4ª edição da Especial Blumenau reúne o melhor de SC, além da cobertura desses importantes eventos.

Esta edição especial traz um panorama das principais razões que tornam Santa Catarina uma região de potencialidades cervejeiras. Desde a história de empresas e de iniciativas ligadas à cadeia produtiva da cerveja, passando pelas muitas conquistas das cervejarias locais até a produção de equipamentos, insumos e ideias de sucesso, como a Catharina Sour. Reportagens completas, contando com entrevistas dos principais nomes cervejeiros do estado sobre cada tema, tornam esta edição imperdível para conhecer o lado cervejeiro de SC.
Cobertura dos eventos cervejeiros
A edição especial também apresenta, como nos anos anteriores, uma cobertura aprofundada dos eventos realizados em Blumenau este ano — Festival, Feira e Concurso —, que tiveram significativas mudanças em 2020. Estão registrados os lançamentos, depoimentos e toda a programação paralela deste que foi, inesperadamente, o derradeiro encontro cervejeiro do primeiro semestre — logo após a sua realização, o país entrou em situação de emergência devido à pandemia da Covid-19. Santa Catarina has a long tradition with beer, dating from the time of German colonization, and which strengthened over the years. It’s no wonder that the second-largest Oktoberfest festival on the planet is held in the state, in Blumenau. The city of Blumenau, in fact, developed a solid brewing culture and emerged in the craft movement, with pioneering factories, input research, beer education and, of course, the most important and long-lived events in the country focused on microbreweries: Brazilian Beer Festival and Brazilian Beer Competition, followed by the recent and already consolidated Brazilian Beer Fair. The 4th Blumenau Special Issue gathers the best of SC, plus a complete coverage of these important events.

Coverage of brewing events
The special issue also features, as in previous years, an in-depth coverage of the events held in Blumenau this year — Festival, Fair and Contest — that had significant changes in 2020. It was recorded the new releases, testimonials from key figures and all of the parallel gatherings of what was, unexpectedly, the last brewing meeting of the first semester — shortly after its holding, the country collapsed into an emergency situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. All the more reason to appreciate all the good that happened at the Festival while reading and enjoying this edition!
